I have been playing with the ipad for a couple of weeks and i have tweeted about imotion HD. I have used it a couple of times, but found it extremely useful in an APP task with my science class. We used it to show our knowledge of the digestive system while working on unit 8a of the Key Stage 3 curriculum.

Students found the app easy to use and created some quite good stop animation videos. The only real issue is the fact the app doesn’t export to the gallery on the ipad or upload to youtube. To do this, you have to upgrade in the app. This is ok for one ipad, but the price starts to get a little larger as you upgrade across all the ipads. So i used my ipad video camera to record the stop animation as it played. Here are a couple of examples;
